This month we’re excited to team up again with the St. Francis Neighborhood Center located in a historical part of Baltimore City. Starting October 12th, we will be collecting new Halloween costumes for kids ranging from the ages of 5-14. St. Francis started in 1963 as a church outreach program then in 1972 became a neighborhood nonprofit corporation. St. Francis is the oldest youth enrichment center in the city, helping 1,200 children in the city that live below the poverty line. They help enrich the community by offering year round youth development programs, family stability, job readiness courses for youth and adults , personal finance courses, Green Machine: greening projects and community clean ups, Reservoir Hill Resource Fair & Festival, computer lab mentoring and classes (STEM), yoga, health, and nutrition, community potlucks, stoop nights, & meetings, space for community meetings, space for partner programs: Narcotics Anonymous, CASA, Corpus Christi Grocery Program, FORH, and more.

We can’t thank you enough for your support and participation in our Community Drives we have had thus far. We are approaching the one year mark of the start of our Community Drives here at Trilogy Wellness! It warms our hearts every month to see our Wellness Warriors walking in the doors with donations and big smiles on your faces. Here is the photo from our first Community Drive last year in support of the Community Action Council of Howard County- we have come a long way! Let’s double the donations from last year!
In August, Trilogy is teaming up with the Howard County Public School System again to donate school supplies to students in need for the upcoming school year. The Howard County School System projects that over 13,000 students may need assistance obtaining school supplies.
Please join us to help support students this year! To the patients who donated last year, we are so thankful for you all. For more info, please visit http://www.prepareforsuccess.org/
This month we are supported an organization close to our hearts called Thread!
What does Thread do?
Thread is often mistaken for a mentoring program or tutoring group. In fact, Thread is a community of individuals working to end our social isolation by rallying around Baltimore’s most academically-underperforming and highest potential 9th graders. Thread volunteers work in groups with a single student, building strong transformative relationships that transcend lines of race, class and zip code. Thread students consistently defy the odds: 85% of Thread students have graduated from high school within six years, and 83% have completed a college degree or certificate program.
At the beginning on this month, we held a week long donation drive at Trilogy Wellness to collect new and gently used towels for Threads summer camps! Camp Thread is for young adults and volunteers in the Thread community as well as the Baltimore Police Department’s Love U2 Life Camp! Camp is such a tremendous opportunity to get out of your comfort zone, build life-long friendships and most importantly have a ton of fun!
Together we collected over 200 towels during the donation drive! Community is one of Trilogy’s brand pillars and we are always so happy to give back. Thank you to everyone who participated in this wonderful cause!
